Alexander Logan was a lumberman and builder in the Mingo W.Va. area, living at Valley Head. He is listed in the 1850, 1860, and 1870 censuses of Randolph County as a carpenter and (1870) miller. He built the Mingo Run Presbyterian Church in 1838 (see Fig. R003d). He acquired, presumably by purchase, tract X1 in the northern tip of Edward Wood’s Wedge Lot (Fig. R361b).
